​Jesse James Rice has been making movies since he was a kid, exploring techniques like stop-motion with his friends' Hi8 cameras. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2004, Jesse has held a multitude of behind-the-camera positions. You name it: production assisting, personal assisting producers, writing coverage, holding a boom mic, transcribing reality TV footage, coordinating extras, and baby-sitting game show contestants.

Although he never stopped performing on stage, Jesse began exploring the possibility of a career in film acting in 2010, and began taking acting classes and workshops to hone his knack for on-camera naturalism into the art of creating and portraying multi-dimensional characters. Since then, Jesse has acted in several feature films, and many commercials, music videos and television shows.

What's Next?

Although Jesse continues to audition for roles in films and popular TV series in LA, he is focusing a lot of his time on his own work; recently directing three short films, writing for two new web series, and co-scribing a new children's book.

Jesse makes his best effort to stay open to the possibilities the artistic world of Los Angeles provides, and often collaborates with other local artists to create films, youtube videos, and original music. You can always contact him with a compelling collaboration or project.
